The Best Halloween Events in New Hope, PA & Lambertville, NJ

Oct 1, 2026

This Halloween, people want more than plastic skeletons, pumpkins, and the same jump scares as last year. They want something authentic, something new, and something they'll still be talking about in November. In New Hope, PA, that's Roxey Ballet's Dracula's Lair: A Haunted House Tour Experience.

It's authentic: real vampire relics from the VAMPA Museum and a professional ballet company performing inches away. It's new: an immersive mix of haunted house and live dance theater you won't find anywhere else in the river towns. And it's memorable: four nights only, October 23, 24, 30 and 31, in small candlelit group tours that depart at 6:30, 7:30 & 8:30 PM.

Not your typical haunted house:

Dracula's Lair blends a haunted attraction, live theatrical storytelling and professional dance into one immersive night. Roxey Ballet's own dancers bring the legend to life, so the "scares" come with real artistry behind them. The tour first opened in 2025, and audiences turned out in big numbers. This year it's back with a darker, more intimate staging, told through the story of the Count and the doomed Miss Lucy.

It's also a true local collaboration. Roxey Ballet is partnering with the VAMPA Museum in Doylestown, which lends authentic vampire relics and artifacts that bring Dracula's Lair into fruition.

What to expect inside:

The guided tour. Small groups are led through the cursed halls of Dracula's domain. Expect flickering candlelight, eerie corridors and shadowed chambers, with figures emerging from the dark. Professional dancers perform the legend around you as you move from room to room.

The Grand Chamber. The tour ends in a live dance-theater performance. Passion, temptation, betrayal and immortality play out through gothic ballet and cinematic choreography, set to a haunting score.

Dress the part. Costumes are encouraged. Come in your best Halloween look or your most Dracula-inspired outfit.

Pre-Tour Social: Be sure to show up 30 minutes prior to your tour time for wine, cocktails, and spooktastic music... As Dracula's Lair is located in the popular town of New Hope, go out before with some friends, and prepare for the night to come.

Make a night of it:

The Mill Ballet School sits just outside downtown New Hope, a short drive from Main Street and the bridge to Lambertville. Grab dinner in either town before a 6:30 or 7:30 tour, or take the 8:30 slot and head out for a nightcap after.

If you see one Halloween event in the river towns this October, make it Dracula's Lair: Immortal. Four nights, small groups, and the only haunted house in town where the monsters dance. Get your tickets now before the Count's guest list fills up.
