A Transformational Arts & Literacy Initiative by Roxey Ballet ✨🩰
Roxey Ballet proudly presents Read, Dance, and Grow, an imaginative program that brings the power of storytelling and movement directly into local libraries, schools, and more across the country!
This joyful initiative pairs professional dancers with educators, librarians, and students to create interactive reading and dance experiences that spark creativity, build healthy habits, and inspire lifelong learning. Purchase a ticket to the lesson, and you can play it ANYTIME, from ANYWHERE!
Options include The Jungle Book, Pied Piper of Hamelin, Cinderella, and Nutcracker for the holiday season!
Each session blends:
📖 Literature & Imagination – engaging stories brought to life through voice, visuals, and dramatic expression. A Roxey Ballet Dancer will read the the story to you.
💃 Movement & Expression – The Roxey Ballet dancer will then encourage students to explore characters and themes with their bodies, deepening understanding and empathy.
🧠 Social-Emotional Growth – express yourself using dance to develop focus, confidence, and communication
🧒 Physical Activity – encouraging healthy movement while making learning fun!
Whether in the classroom or among the library shelves, children are encouraged to read with their minds and express with their bodies—promoting literacy, wellness, and creativity in a whole-child approach to learning.

Library Performances
Roxey Ballet offers an assortment of interactive storytimes and performances at local libraries. We want to share our love of dance with children and families in our local areas and connect them with the stories and characters of classical ballets.
From Storytime with the Sugar Plum Fairy to Carnival of the Animals, Roxey Ballet professionals love to engage children in the world of performance, history, storytelling, and movement.

Roxey Ballet can also bring a full company performance of current repertoire to your location. This artistically engaging experience will include the performance, a question and answer session with the dancers, and the opportunity for students to experience dance. Repertoire may include The Nutcracker, Carmen, Mowgli, Dracula, Frankenstein, Cinderella, Buffalo Bill's Saloon, Carmina Burana, Washington's Crossing and other original works.
