Roxey Ballet's
"American Holiday Classic Nutcracker" Auditions 2024

Roxey Ballet will hold open auditions for dancers ages 4-up for the  annual "American Holiday Classic Nutcracker".

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024

at the Mill Ballet School 

46 N Sugan Rd. New Hope, PA 18938.

Audition times and age groups:

3:00-3:30 Ages 4-6

3:45-4:15 Ages 7-10

4:30-5:00 Ages 11-13

5:15-6:00 Ages 14+

 

All dancers MUST pre-register online by noon September 13th, 2024. 

Dancers should attend the audition time of the age they are on September 14th.

Please fill out the registration form and pay the

$39 audition fee by clicking the button below.

Once you have been accepted to the cast please pay the participation fee below.

Rehearsal and performance information:

- First day of rehearsals and parent meeting

Saturday, September 21st.

After this rehearsals run on Fridays and Saturdays.

While there are exceptions, rehearsals occur on

Friday evenings for the older cast members and soloist roles between 4pm-8pm and during the day on Saturdays for all cast members between 2pm-8pm.

There are no rehearsals on Sundays with the exception we need to make up a cancelled rehearsal.

- Nov. 17th  (Nutcracker Tea Party at Mill Ballet, New Hope, PA)

- Nov. 23rd (Sensory-Friendly Performance at Mill Ballet, New Hope, PA)

- Nov. 30th (Peformance at Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing, NJ)

- Dec. 1st (Performance at Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing, NJ)

- Dec. 6th (School Matinee Performance at Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing NJ)

- Dec. 7th (Performance at Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing, NJ)

- Dec. 8th (Performance at Villa Victoria Theater, Ewing, NJ)

Roxey Ballet Professional Dancer Auditions 2024

Audition Location: Mill Ballet School 

46 N Sugan Rd. New Hope, PA 18938

Contract is for 18-45 weeks annually depending on dancer.

Auditions are by invitation only.

There is no audition fee.

Ladies, please bring your pointe shoes.

All dancers should be prepared to take class, perform choreography and learn company repertory,

and take part in a short interview.

Current repertory consists of original, full-length classic and contemporary ballet works in a variety of styles by a variety of choreographers. Former education experience with children is vital for any successful candidate. Additional experience with inner city youth at risk and artists with disabilities is a plus.
