Andy Sefcik

Anderson “Andy” Sefcik is a dynamic and versatile dance artist with a strong foundation in classical ballet, contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, and choreographic exploration. He is honored to join Roxey Ballet and is excited to contribute his artistry, dedication, and passion for storytelling through movement to the company’s 30th Anniversary Season.

Andy is currently completing his BFA in Ballet at Utah Valley University’s Department of Dance, where he has trained extensively in classical technique, repertory, choreography, performance, and dance scholarship. His performance experience includes works by and after renowned choreographers including Marius Petipa, José Limón, Gerald Arpino, Amy Miller of Gibney, Jourdan Epstein of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Joshua Manculich, Natiya Kezevadze, Miguel Solano, Jamie Johnson, Christa St. John, and Tyler Schnese. He has performed in a wide range of productions and repertory programs including La Bayadère, Giselle, Chaconne, Italian Suite, Kettentanz, Hansel and Gretel, Traversing Tradition, Masterworks & New Works, RBE in Concert, For Crying Out Loud, and the Complexions Contemporary Ballet 30th Anniversary Gala.

In addition to his university training, Andy has expanded his artistry through the Whirlwind Summer Residency and the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Pre-Professional Program. His choreographic work includes If It’s Meant to Be, created as a solo for the UVU Ballet Choreography Film, and Restart, an ensemble work for the UVU Composition Final Project. He has also performed in numerous student-created works, supporting emerging choreographers and collaborative dance-making.

Andy has been recognized with the UVU Performing Arts Scholarship in Ballet, the Basil Thompson Memorial Grant through CORPS de Ballet International, and the UVU URSCA Grant for research connected to The Evolution of Ballet. He also shares his love of dance as a teacher at Charisma Dance Studio, where he has taught since 2022.

Andy is deeply grateful for the opportunity to join Roxey Ballet and looks forward to bringing his energy, discipline, creativity, and love of performance to the company and its audiences.
