Teryn Trent grew up in Santa Rosa, California where he began his training at New World Ballet under the direction of Victor Temple. There he studied ballet, contemporary ballet, hip hop, and jazz. Teryn has performed on many different stages all across Northern California as well as Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City.
During the summer of 2015, Teryn had the honor of joining the
Dance Theatre of Harlem in their 2015 Summer intensive in which he was awarded 2 certificates as the top of his class in ballet technique and hip hop. In 2017 he was awarded with the
"Young Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Santa Rosa Black
Chamber of Commerce for his achievements in creating and maintaining several after school dance programs within a series of schools in Sonoma County. Teryn Furthered his training at
Butler University, graduating in 2021 with a B.S. in
Dance Arts Administration. He has performed in ballets such as: The Nutcracker, Giselle, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as performing in various contemporary works. This is Teryn's second season with Roxey Ballet Company. Teryn also works as Roxey Ballet's Education Coordinator and is part of Mill Ballet School's teaching faculty.
