Roxey Ballet and Princeton Pro Musica Present Carmina Burana

Princeton Pro Musica is hosting an evening with Roxey Ballet to discuss the creative process behind their joint production of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, which performed to sold-out audiences in 2017 and 2019. Princeton Pro Musica Artistic Director, Ryan James Brandau and Roxey Ballet's Executive and Artistic Director, Mark Roxey, will describe their collaboration and how it all began.

Which came first—music or dance? What is this piece about? Get answers to these and other questions then relive the 2019 experience, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 7:00pm via zoom.

Ryan James Brandau, who led the music, joins Mark Roxey, who created the original choreography for the entire cantata will co-host the discussion of this unforgettable collaboration, which translated Orff’s monumental score into sound, scene, and movement. Following the talk-back, registrants will have the opportunity to revisit this performance from 2019 on YouTube, via a link provided to them via email. The video will be available for viewing until May 30, 2021.
