Teaching Artists from Roxey Ballet worked with the students once a week for up to 16 weeks teaching them the elements of dance: space, rhythm, and energy with lessons using improvisation as the base. At the end of the residency the students were able to showcase what they learned and watch an assembly program performed by the professional dancers of Roxey Ballet. Many of the students communicated through ipad talkers and at the end of one residency one of the students typed "I love to dance!".
