Lambertville, NJ, March 25, 2019 – Roxey Ballet, New Jersey’s Premier contemporary ballet company based in Lambertville, announced its Spring season today, “Springing Forward 2019.
The company, with dancers from all over the globe, kicked off its Spring Season with it’s sold out presentation of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana on March 16, 2019. The performances where held at Princeton Universities, Richardson Auditorium in partnership with Princeton Pro Musica and the Princeton Girls Choir.
Roxey Ballet will also be offering its Rendition of Orff’s Masterpiece alongside The Monmouth Civic Choir at the Axelrode Theater in Deal, NJ on April 6th and 7th.
“I am really excited about the many performance offerings we have this spring. said Artistic Director “ Mark Roxey. “We are such a different and relevant dance company. The spring season will be a magnificent dance experience for our dancers and the audience.” We will also present “Cinderella” at the College of New Jersey in Ewing on May 17th and 18th as wells and “We Vs C” on June 1st ,2nd & 3rd in Lambertville, NJ. “We Vs. C” is a work that features 22 Breast Cancers survivors and their powerful stories of Triumph over this wicked disease.
Roxey Ballet’s upcoming shows also include the enchanting Cinderella, on May 16 at 4:00pm and 17 at 2:00pm. The performance for Cinderella will be held at The College of New Jersey at 2000 Pennington Way, Ewing NJ. Over 100 professional dancers, pre-professional dance students, children and community members participate in this Children’s Classic Story. The company will also feature a relaxed, Sensory presentation on May 16 at 1:00pm.
“This will be our 8th time in 25 years that we will perform this three act ballet and the seasons keep getting better and better here at Roxey Ballet.”said Michele Englehart , President of the Board of Trustees.
