Roxey Ballet Holding Open Auditions for the Classic Tale “Cinderella”
Roxey Ballet, New Jersey's professional contemporary dance company, is proud to present "Cinderella" on May 18th and 19th. One of the most loved stories of all time, this classical, family-friendly production is accessible to all audiences.
Roxey Ballet will be hosting open auditions on January 19th, in its home, 243 North Union Street in Canal Studio Theater. The Auditions will run from 2 pm to 4 pm and all levels of dancers are welcome, from ages 4 years and up. This production promises to be a shining example of the magic of dance at Roxey Ballet.
"Cinderella" is directed and choreographed by Mark Roxey, artistic director of this acclaimed professional company. Also featured are costumes designed by Alicia Worden and Nilda Roxey-Jones, and lighting designed by Jeffrey Goldstein.
Alongside the international cast of Roxey Ballet's professional company dancers, Cinderella will also includes over 60 young artists from neighboring communities. This is an incredible education for the young dancers in the community to have the opportunity to not only dance in a professional Mainstage Theater with a large audience, but to experience the comradery that happens when the youngest of dancers, the production cast starts at 4 yrs. old, and the seasoned International Company work together towards an artistic goal.

Roxey Ballet's "Cinderella" programming includes a special relaxed performance on May 18th at 1 PM, allowing families with ASD and special needs, sensitivity issues, or young children to enjoy "Cinderella" in a supportive environment. This is part of our Healing Arts Initiative and Inclusion practice, which we believe in very strongly at Roxey Ballet.
We will continue our seasons offerings with We Vs. C; Stories of Triumph Over Cancer. A Healing Arts project created by Mark Roxey in partnership with numerous local non-profit organizations. This incredible groundbreaking performance will take place at the Canal Studio Theater, home of Roxey Ballet, in Lambertville, NJ on June 1st and 2nd. Tickets available now.
