Roxey Ballet Announces Family-Friendly Concert to Celebrate Hunterdon County's 300th Anniversary And New Jersey's 350th Anniversary. Valetines Weekend. Lambertville, NJ - Roxey Ballet Company, the premier contemporary ballet company serving Hunterdon and Mercer Counties in New Jersey, and Bucks County in Pennsylvania, is proud to unveil its "I Love NJ" dance and musical concert to celebrate Hunterdon County's 300th anniversary and New Jersey's 350th anniversary. The concerts will take place at Canal Studio Theater in Lambertville, NJ on February 7th through February 16th, 2014 and will fuse live poetry, song and dance to great a truly up close and personal live theater experience. "I Love NJ" features the works of many New Jersey artists including fourteen professional Roxey Ballet dancers who work and live in Hunterdon County, NJ, ten pre-professional Mill Ballet School trainees, and five NJ choreographers. Live music will be performed by Flemington natives, twin sisters, and talented vocalist and musicians Nalani and Sarina Bolton, and by the award winning poet and songwriter, Richard Jarboe of Stockton, NJ. Robert Sands, a four-time Emmy Award winning composer from Hunterdon County, NJ, will make additional musical contributions to the two weeks engagement. Mark Roxey, Founder and Artistic Director of the Roxey Ballet comments, "We are proud to produce a concert that will honor Hunterdon County and New Jersey in so many ways. Our dancers will highlight history by performing to Richard's songs and poems that were inspired by Lambertville's James Marshalls, a gold pioneer, and by George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River. Nalani and Sarina will perform original duets and lead interactive song sessions about life in the Garden State that the entire family will enjoy. Never before seen traditional and contemporary ballet pieces will round out this unique event." Mr. Roxey continues, "Please join us for this once-in-a-lifetime concert!
