Maurico G Mejia
Mauricio Mejia is originated from San Luis Potos, Mexico and began his ballet training in the program ProVer at age 15. In 2018 the Orlando Ballet Summer Intensive offered him a position with the Trainee program. In 2019 he was promoted to the full company of Orlando Ballet. In 2020 he joined the Florida Ballet under the direction of Roberto Forleo where he danced principal roles in Spectre de la Rose, Bayadere, Cinderella and soloist roles in The Nutcracker and Roberto Forleo’s Entangled.
Mauricio is the winner of several prizes at the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition and was invited to perform in several of the evening galas, even presenting his own choreographic works. During his career thus far, he also received recognition and scholarships for his choreographic pieces.
