Frederick Ocansey Joins Roxey Ballet

Frederick Ocansey, or Freddy is from Columbus, Ohio. He began his technical training at the of 17 with Charisma Centre of the Arts. Furthering his education in dance Frederick studied at Wright State University as a dance major eventually leaving to pursue the arts in a way that felt more intuitive to his nature. Frederick is very passionate about impacting the world through the art of dance by spreading his contagious zest for life and sharing his love of beauty through movement. Brandon McGuirk Joins Roxey Ballet

Originally from Seekonk, Massachusetts, Brandon began his dance training at a young age with Festival Ballet Providence. He joined their Junior Company in 2011 for 3 years where he worked with the professional company as a corp member in their production of The Sleeping Beauty. Mr. McGuirk attended summer intensives along with Festival Ballet Providence, Joffrey Ballet School, worked with the Berkshire Choreography Project in 2015, and also was a finalist in the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in New York City. Christina Holl Joins Roxey Ballet

Christina Holl began her dance training under the direction of former Broadway actress Alison Gertner-Mann at the Center for Music, Theatre, and Dance in Jackson, New Jersey. Holl recently graduated with honors from Montclair State University (MSU) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. At MSU, she studied ballet, pointe, and various modern techniques such as O’Donnell, Limón, Horton, and contemporary. She has performed in choreographic works by Larry Keigwin, Christian von Howard, Fredrick Earl Mosley, Antony Tudor, Nancy Lushington, and others. Holl has previously trained at the Princeton Ballet School Summer Intensive and attended the Tuscan Summer Dance Intensive in Livorno, Italy.

Tuiana Balzhieva Joins Roxey Ballet

Tuiana Balzhieva graduated ballet school in Russia at L.P Sakhyanova. She was accepted to Buryat State Opera and Ballet Theater where she became a young soloist dancer. Tuiana has performed solo and principal roles in multiple ballets. In 2008 she participated in the 7th Siberian International Dance Competition in Novosibirsk, where she took 3rd. She also took part in Ekaterina Maksimova’s International Dance Competition in Perm, Russia. Azusa Okamoto Joins Roxey Ballet

Azusa Okamoto was born in Japan, began her training at the age of three. She studied at Fukutani Yoko Ballet Studio in Kyoto, Japan. She moved to Canada at the age of sixteen and received full Scholarship to train at the Victoria Academy of Ballet, continuing on to graduate from the Post-Secondary Bridge Program in 2016. Her performance experience includes Paquita, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Swan Lake, La Bayadere and contemporary repertory. Her awards include First Prize at the 23 rd Kobe Dance Competition, First Prize at the 2nd NAMUE Grand Final Ballet Competition, First Prize at the 26th NAMUE Ballet Competition, 2nd Prize at the 12 th Osaka Prix Ballet Compet

Kaito Yamamoto Joins Roxey Ballet

Katio Yamamoto will be joining Roxey Ballet this season. Kaito Yamamoto was born in Hokkaido, Japan. He received his early training at Midori Okajima Ballet studio and Kanako Sakai Ballet studio in Japan. At age 18, Kaito Yamamoto began his training at Gelsey Kirkland Academy of classical ballet in 2013. Mr. Yamamoto joined Gelsey Kirkland Ballet in 2014 as a company member, he performed "Harlequinade" "Cavarly Halt", "Don Quixote" "Nutcracker", "Faust" increasing many soloists roles "Talisman"-pas de deux "Wedding Procession, Don Juan" by Leonid Yakobson "Gayane , Gopak , Les Corsaire"-male variation.

Nerea Barrondo Joins Roxey Ballet

This season, Nerea Barrondo will be joining Roxey Ballet Company. Nerea Barrondo was born in Bilbao, Spain. She received her early training at Igor Yebra's Ballet Academy were she was trained by Anna Generalova (a graduate from the Vaganova Ballet Academy) and the Royal Conservatory of Dance Mariemma in Madrid. At age 14 Ms. Barrondo began her training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow and graduated four years later with excellent grades. She danced solo variations at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy performances such us " Flames of Paris Variation" and "Sylvia variation " and a little Cupid at the Bolshoi Ballet theatre's production of Don Quixote. Roxey Ballet Holds Open Nutcracker Auditions

The Roxey Ballet Company Announces Open Auditions for Nutcracker, Ages 4-18 Lambertville, NJ – The Roxey Ballet Company has announced open auditions for "The Nutcracker". Open auditions are held in Roxey Ballet's Canal Studios on September 9, 2017. Area dancers ages 4-18 are encouraged to attend. Audition Times: Ages 4 to 6 - 12:00-12:30 Ages 7 to 10 - 12:30-1:00 Ages 11 to 13 - 1:00-1:30 Ages 14 to 18 - 1:30-2:00 Interested candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to audition time.
