Brent Whitney will perform as the Sugar Plum Cavalier in Roxey Ballet Nutcracker

Originally from Traverse City, Mi Brent began his training at Dance Arts Academy and Ballet Etc. He continued on as a dance major at Western Michigan University. His first professional job was with the Milwaukee Ballet Company where he performed a variety of classical and contemporary roles by some of the leading choreographers for the next four years. Brent has also danced for the Milwaukee Opera, Ballet NY, Ballet X, Connecticut Ballet, New York Theatre Ballet, San Diego Opera, Toledo Opera, Carolina Opera, and The Key West Contemporary Dance Company. Austrian with Japanese roots, Yukina was educated in Italy and Austria, where she graduated with the national diploma for classical Ballet in Vienna. She gained experience by participating in galas, projects, including at the Opera House Graz, Vienna Odeon, Festspielhaus St. Pölten, Teatro Verdi, Florence, Tama Parthenon, Tokyo. In 2010 Yukina joined the "Cinevox Junior Company" under the direction of Malou Fenaroli Leclerc in Switzerland, where she danced as a soloist in choreographies by Felix Dumeril, Franz Brodmann and Jacqueline Beck.
