Join Us for an interactive evening with Roxey Ballet's founder, Mark Roxey and award winning composer Ryan Brandau as they discuss their inspiration in creating Carmina Burana. They will dissect the verses meaning and discuss their take on this Carl Orff's classic followed by performances from Roxey's International professional ballet company. Audience participation is welcome.

Monmouth Civic Chorus returns to the Axelrod with Carl Orff’s masterpiece Carmina Burana, one of the most popular and exciting classical works of the 20th century, under the direction of Ryan James Brandau (Westminster Choir College and Yale University). Described by the composer as a “scenic cantata,” Carmina Burana will feature over 100 singers plus the professional dancers of the Roxey Contemporary Ballet, choreographed by Mark Roxey. Soloists include soprano Claire Leyden and countertenor Logan Tanner.
